   Theme: "gospel"

The theme "gospel" was chosen as the first theme because it is in the words of God through His messengers that we first learn of God's intention to defeat sin and death and evil in this world and bring the earth under His perfect, just rule -- as it is in heaven.

The theme "gospel" in this Bible Study will be reviewed in three ways:

Study by Research: What does the Bible say "gospel" means?
Twelve Bible verses that include a reference to the word "gospel". Students are to read and determine for themselves the meaning of the term "gospel" based on how it is used in the specified verses in the Bible.
Study by Definition: What do the scholars say "gospel" means?
A formal approach to studying the meaning of the term "gospel". Explanations from Theological dictionaries are provided for the students review.
Study by Narrative: How do you apply the meaning of "gospel" to your life?
A reading from "The Power of the Gospel", a lesson from the Online Bible College series "What is the Gospel?" This is an overview of the term "gospel" and what it means for Christians.
